Registrations are now open for one of the peak youth health
sector conferences in Australia, Youth Health 2011 - which will
be taking place in Sydney from the 9-11 November
2011. Bringing together people from a wide variety of
professional sectors, the conference highlights the latest
research, innovative practices and effective ideas for supporting
adolescent health - both mental and physical.
Youth Health 2011 is an exciting and important opportunity for a
diverse group of people interested in young people's health and
well being to come together, including:

The conference is co-convened by the NSW Centre for the Advancement of Adolescent
Health, and the Department of Adolescent
Medicine, The Children's Hospital at Westmead, in collaboration
with the International Association for Adolescent Health.
Understanding and using technology to connect
our worlds

Clinical Psychologist Liesje Donkin will be delivering a session
on behalf of ReachOut Pro to help healthcare professionals to
better understand the role of technology in young people's lives
and to develop strategies to reach and engage young people to
improve their access and wellbeing using the digital space.
Pre-conference workshop: Using technology to
improve young people's wellbeing.
The conference is also supported by the
Co-operative Research Centre for Young People, Technology and
Wellbeing, who will be running a pre-conference workshop -
bringing together a broad range of people including researchers,
practitioners, policy-makers, innovators and young people
themselves to explore how best to deliver services that utilise
collaborative, innovative and participatory approaches.
The workshop will include practical demonstrations of tools and
resources that can be used to support young people's mental health
and wellbeing, including new tools and resources developed by
ReachOut.com
