E-couch is an evidence-based online program which combine
various therapy styles in order to manage and treat a range of
emotional problems (eg. Anxiety, depression, grief and anger).
Developed by the Australian National University, it is aimed at
providing information on mood disorders based on evidence and
current literature. It also provides some basic skills and
strategies for managing symptoms of these disorders, as well as
some helpful psychoeducation on depression and mood disorders.
- It is presented in a "youth friendly" manner with illustrations
and graphics.
- The program contains four toolkits or therapy choices based on
CBT, IPT, physical activity and relaxation.
- The program aims to help users change their thinking, review
their relationships with others, schedule regular exercise, and
learn relaxation techniques.
- The program requires registration but is free once registration
is completed.
